Today, cement plant of Dushanbe after a ten-month pause has resumed its activities with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon.
It should be reminded that this largest cement plant of Tajikistan stopped its work as a result of natural gas deficit.
Currently, this plant, after installation of new modern technological equipment, uses coal instead of natural gas as a fuel. Fortunately, the coal resources and raw materials for production of cement are abundant in Tajikistan and can be used even for hundreds of years.
At the present the first queue of this plant has been commissioned with new technology, which has annual capacity of 180 thousand tons of high-quality cement. This cause has been accomplished at the expense of almost 13,5 million USD and from 1140 former workers 883 have also resumed their works. Despite use of coal, this new technology is energy saving, wasteless, and ecologically clean and safe.
