Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Hoagland.
The sides discussed the issues pertaining to relations between Tajikistan and the United States as well as their fruitful cooperation.
Much attention was paid to the current situation and its prospects in Afghanistan and consequences of withdrawal of ISAF forces from this country.
Facilitation to improvement of legal climate for investment and attraction of American public and private investment into the economy of Tajikistan and for the implementation of regional projects, including CASA-1000 were among the important subjects considered.
A constructive talk also took place on other issues of mutual interest.
