Today, President Emomali Rahmon received the Counselor of Cabinet of Emir of Kuwait, Chairman of International Islamic Charity Fund, UN Secretary-General's Humanitarian Envoy for Kuwait Dr. Abdullah Matouq Al-Matouq.

The issues related to the establishment and development of wide-ranging cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait have been considered.

Head of state Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction over the expansion of relations between Tajikistan and Kuwait during the last two-three years, and stated in particular: “I consider the wide-ranging mutually beneficial cooperation with the State of Kuwait to be promising”.

The Kuwaiti side expressed interest in the realization of charity works, including construction of international hospital, schools, laying out drinking water pipelines to needy regions of Tajikistan, assistance to orphanages and others.

Constructive talk has also been held on other issues of mutual interest.
