Letter of condolences to President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has send a telegram of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, which reads, in part:
“Your Excellency,
It was with great sadness that I found the news about the landslide in one of the villages of Badakhshan province which caused the loss of hundreds of lives.
Please pass on my personal and people of Tajikistan’s brotherly sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased. We wish patience to their relatives.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return).”
