Today, President Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abdurrizo Rahmoni Fazli, who arrived in Tajikistan as the representative of an observer State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to participate in the next meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Interior and Public Security of the organization.

It was expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan and the Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which in the last ten years is constantly evolving and is now at a qualitatively new and higher level.

President Emomali Rakhmon expressed satisfaction with the legal basis for cooperation in the joint fight against crime at the same time stressed the need to continue striving for the practical implementation of the signed documents.

Particular attention was paid to the development of trilateral cooperation of Tajikistan, Iran and Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism, extremism and drug control.
