The leadership and command chain of the armed forces of the country, officers and soldiers of the National Guard, and heads of security forces and law enforcement agencies attended the ceremony, which took place at Kokhi Borbad.  

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon congratulated the officers and soldiers of the National Guard and all the people of the country on the occasion of the 24^th  anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 20^th anniversary of the National Guard and wished them the valor, courage and professionalism in protecting the safety and security of independent Tajikistan.

It was stressed that today the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of the National Guard of Tajikistan, along with other basic government bodies, military and law enforcement agencies, is one of the best fruits of independence, and considered as an important part of the Armed Forces of our independent state.

The National Guard is a special structure that plays an important role in the defense system of the state.  

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, recalling the early days of the formation of the National Guard, said: "We have created this military structure at the time when our country was in a very difficult and sensitive situation.

Therefore, the personnel of the National Guard during the first stage of its formation along with other military structures and law enforcement agencies underwent the extremely difficult path, however, honorable way of showing the best examples of valor and courage, defended the glorious name of guards. "

The President stressed that today we are pleased to say that the National Guard has become a forge of the faithful people of military personnel and service in the Guard is the pride of every patriot.

Valor and courage of Tajik guards continues the tradition of heroism, self-sacrifice by thousand of glorious sons of our land who consider the protection of native boundaries as their patriotic mission.  

In the framework of a successful social housing policy, the Government has provided more than 500 families of servicemen of the National Guard with houses.

The support and care of State and Government makes the National Guard troops increase military discipline and faithful service to the motherland and the people of the country, respect for the Constitution, the responsible execution of their accountable and honorable duties.

At the end of his speech, President Emomali Rahmon stressed once again that "You, the officers and soldiers of the National Guard, are the successors of the mission and the heroism of thousands of brave sons of our beloved homeland."

The solemn meeting on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan was completed by a colorful concert program.
